Quick answers

What people want to know before they start.

The short version: keep your mouse settings stable, follow the module instruction and treat the result as a tested starting response.

Do I need to know my current game sensitivity?

No. Discovery begins from captured mouse movement. Fine-tune mode accepts a current physical response or supported game setting when you already have one.

Do I need a ruler?

Not to begin. Three comfortable sweeps establish a count-based reference tied to your current DPI. The optional measured step adds universal cm / 360° after you have completed the test.

Can the browser detect my monitor or mouse DPI?

It can read general display dimensions and scaling, but browsers do not receive a trustworthy physical monitor size or mouse DPI. The tool never invents either value.

Where exactly should I measure the mouse?

Use the front-centre tip as the single reference point. Align that tip with mark A, move straight, and stop when the same tip reaches mark B. Do not switch between the sensor, side and centre.

Do I click during tracking?

No. Static targets require a prompt click. During tracking, follow the moving target continuously without clicking.

Why does the test include large flicks?

Small nearby targets over-reward low sensitivity. The 25–35° large-flick module and tracking relocations test whether the response also supports meaningful repositioning.

Does the most accurate setting always win?

No. Endpoint precision is combined with click timing, path control, braking and tracking. A very slow accurate response can lose when the time cost is too large.

Is the recommendation permanent?

No. It describes the evidence from this session and is intended as a starting response. Retest after material equipment or input-setting changes, not after every poor match.

Does the site upload my raw mouse data?

Not by default. Calibration and the immediate report stay local. If you create an account, explicitly enable cloud history and sync, complete sessions—including raw movement evidence—are stored in that account. You can export or delete them in Advanced Lab.

Can it set my game automatically?

No. The calculator provides a numerical reference or physical matching route. You enter the value in the game and verify the turn yourself.
